Mysteries Concealed
Working in the Technology Industry revealed a consistent experience of a majority of people having no idea of what’s going on or how anything works. Technology is technical and there is significant engineering complexity involved. So, go figure.
Business owners and staff don’t need to know how every technology works, but they do need to have a better idea. It’s very common for there to be a great divide between the designers and implementers of technology and those who use it. This creates an unnecessary façade of intelligence disparities between creators and users, as though there are people who can understand technology and those who can’t. This is simply not true, and serves to benefit those “in the know” and work against those “in the dark.” Anyone can learn how anything works, it just takes time and a willingness to learn piece by piece. Crawl. Walk. Run.
Mysteries Revealed
We believe there is a need to stand in the gap to deeply understand technology design, communicate it’s value, connect with real businesses and act as a technology and systems advocate to improve how work is accomplished inside businesses. Real Businesses with Real People. We believe there is value in the presence of an independent advocate that partners with businesses to enhance their interactions with technology implementations. We work intimately with a business to adopt good technology and keep other technology companies honest when introducing their products.
Application Programming Interfaces (API) define how computer systems and programs interact with one another in a consistent way. In the same manner, we act as a Technology Business Interface (TBI) to define and empower how technology solutions comprehensively interact with businesses to establish consistent results for each use case. This is an organic and highly interactive approach to engage with each business at a deeper, foundational level to rightly distinguish its intricate parts and determine how to interface other components of work that adds value. This takes more time for nuance to be exposed. This involves personalities of staff, learning preferences, physical layout of work space, etc. to explore a better interaction with rightly needed technology solutions.
Technology is only as good as it is properly interacted with according to its design. Technology is a vast tool set that is multi-faceted and has many uses. It is a multi-discipline, multi-generational method of doing work. So one size does not fit all and one implementation doesn’t necessarily work for each business use case. Although certain kinds of technology have become easier to intuitively interact with, this has been accomplished through more creative and sophisticated methods of design and engineering. Most modern technology is sophisticatedly simple.
We believe new ways of approaching work with contemporary technology is valuable, and it creates new ideas for how to improve work and make new technology. Without technology, work would be flat and unnecessarily tedious. Without work, technology would have little application and a small surface for impact. But when technology continues to interact with work, this reaction creates more of each. It’s a beautiful thing.
